Notable Works

Select programs, websites, and projects that date back to my undergraduate years.

“Messages In Bottles”
Global Nominee – 2020 NASA Spaces Apps Challenge

My teammates & I created a mock-up website that utilizes satellite imagery to pinpoint potential garbage patches in shorelines around the world.

Deutsch-Jozsa Algorithm Simulator
Code for Undergraduate Thesis

Simulator for some quantum algorithms coded in NumPy. Further work was done in Jupyter for the presentation in WCTP 2020 (see below) and publication in the Philippine Computing Journal.

Markov Chain Melody Generator
Final Project for CS 130: Mathematical Methods

A program coded in C that combines the tunes of three nursery rhymes in order to generate its own melodies with Markov Chains.

“LyrixChange”
Final Project for CS 165: Database Systems

A platform for musicians to get together, form bands, share lyrics, and receive feedback from other people. Made using Ruby On Rails and Bootstrap.

Places I’ve Been

Workshops, conferences, camps, and conventions that I joined.

10th Workshop on Computation: Theory and Practice
Online, Philippines

Presented my undergraduate thesis and a collaboration with my schoolmate for his thesis. Work got published in the Philippine Computing Journal.

KAIST School of Computing Winter Camp
Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), South Korea

I was one of the 30 selected out of 4,000 applicants to become a delegate that would participate in a 1-week, all-expense-paid camp full of lectures, workshops, and the beautiful scenery of Daejeon, South Korea.

8th Asian Science Camp 2014
Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Six of us were selected by our high school to represent the Philippines in annual science camp full of lectures, workshops, and the beautiful scenery of NTU, Singapore.

Super Science High School Student Fair 2014
Pacifico Yokohama, Japan

Our high school research project (a contraption that sorts PET bottles by color) somehow got chosen to be presented at an international high school science fair in Japan.
